Some farmers in Chadiza District who sold their maize to Zambia Cooperative Federation (ZCF) in the 2015/2016 marketing season have threatened to take to court the Federation if it does not pay them their money within two weeks.
One of the affected farmers Stanly Sakala has told Radio Maria today that the decision was arrived at recently during a meeting in Chadiza.
Mr Sakala says ZCF risks facing a legal battle with the angry farmers if it does not pay them their money that amounts to about K480,000 for the maize they supplied to the Federation.
Mr Sakala says the farmers have incured a lot of losses economically because of the nonpayment of their money by ZCF.
